Nutella Rice Krispie Treats

This is the most perfect combination, taking the traditional rice krispie treat to a whole new level!

WARNING: These ooey gooey squares of deliciousness are extremely addicting! EnJOY!

NUTELLA RICE KRISPIE TREATS

you will need…

6 cups Rice Krispies

4 cups marshmallows

1 cup Nutella

6 tablespoons butter

 

Melt 3 tablespoons butter in a Dutch Oven over medium-low heat. Add marshmallows. Stir until smooth and creamy. Add 1/3 cup Nutella. Stir, then add remaining 3 tablespoons butter. Stir until combined. _JTR8621 (1)

Add Rice Krispies, and carefully mix until Rice Krispies are bathed in the chocolate+marshmallows. _JTR8630 (1)

On a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and working quickly, spread 1/2 Rice Krispies onto the cookie sheet, about 1/2″ thickness. Spread remaining Nutella on top. _JTR8638 (1)

Add remaining Rice Krispies on top of Nutella topped Rice Krispies, and allow to cool. Cut into squares or your favorite shape! For the Super Bowl, I cut my NRK treats into miniature footballs, and piped laces on tops of footballs, using white icing. _JTR8641 (1)
