This chicken is so tender, it falls off the bone and will melt in your mouth!

Lemon BBQ Chicken

you will need…

3 pounds chicken (breasts and leg quarters)

1 cup vegetable oil

½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 tablespoon salt

1 teaspoon paprika

2 teaspoon crushed basil

2 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon crushed thyme

1 clove garlic, crushed


Combine all ingredients in a plastic bag, and marinate chicken in refrigerator overnight (or at least 6 hours, turning occasionally). Remove marinated chicken from refrigerator one hour before grilling. Drain. Retain marinade, place in small saucepan, and bring marinade to a boil for 5 minutes on cooktop. Place chicken on grill, skin side up and cook 20-25 minutes, brushing often with marinade. Turn chicken and cook an additional 20 minutes. Remove chicken from grill, and place in a covered dish in a 200 degree oven for two to four hours or until ready to serve. EnJOY!
